How do I know there is a problem with the automatic transmission in my car?
There are several signs that indicate if your transmission is faulty. If you notice any of the following there is a good chance your transmission requires some attention.
- Oil leaking from transmission.
- Abnormal noise while driving
- Engine reving on gear changes
- Engine reving higher then normal and the car doesn’t seem to be moving as fast as it should.
- Harsh gear changes.
- Slow to engage drive or reverse.
- Transmission seems to be stuck in one gear.
It is important to remember that if you notice any of these symptoms you should have your car inspected by a Bayford Technician sooner rather then later. As the problem will only get worse not better.

What is the difference between a repair and an overhaul?
A repair is when we specifically fix only the cause of the problem. Replacing parts required only. An overhaul is when we completely dismantle the component, replace all soft parts eg: seals, gaskets bushes & frictions. We replace or repair any damaged hard parts eg: pumps drums or gearsets. Then reassemble to spec.
Can you supply me with a quote prior to commencing work?
We can supply quotes on our change over units over the phone, however in the case that we can not supply a change over unit or you wish for us to carry out the repairs on your own, we would not be able to give you a exact price as we would need to assess your vehicle to determine what the actual fault is.
Can you do the job at a lower cost?
We offer up to 2 year 40,000klm warranty. We only use high quality parts to ensure our reconditioned components are able to see through the warranty period & beyond,We only use high quality parts. There are cheaper & lower quality parts available which will reduce cost, however they will also reduce the life of your reconditioned component.
Do You have a towing service available?
