The History of the Bayford Group
The Bayford Group is the longest surviving family owned motor vehicle dealership in Australia. The dealership was founded in 1917 by Dick Bayford on his return from working for Ford in America. The business was originally based in a small garage in Fitzroy where the vehicles were assembled. Dick was passionate about customer service and viewed the sale of a car as the start of a lifetime relationship, and would do anything to preserve that relationship.
Over the past 90 years the business has developed into a much larger and more professional enterprise. However, the business continues to prosper because Dick’s enthusiasm for customer service has remained its guiding principle through all four generations of the Bayford Family.
Bayford South Yarra Peugeot is Melbourne’s newest Peugeot Dealership so pop in for a look at our brand new state of the art “Blue Box” showroom. Our staff would love to show you around and demonstrate some of Peugeot’s brilliant new vehicles.
